Rheumatic diseases are conditions affecting primarily the immune system and musculoskeletal structures, but potentially involving every organ or tissue. Although many progresses have been made in the past decades in managing these patients, clinical remission can be achieved in less than 50% of patients and a precision rheumatology is still far from being reached.
Nine rheumatic diseases will be discussed in this Congress: systemic sclerosis, primary Sjögren’s syndrome, adult-onset Still’s disease, juvenile idiopathic arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, antiphospholipid syndrome, spondyloarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis and other bone diseases.
The overarching aim of this Congress is to share knowledge from cutting-edge research and innovation in Rheumatology, focusing on precision medicine, patient profiling, and biomarkers.
